In 1994, he returned to Bangladesh and immersed himself in the dynamic landscape of the garments industry, where he honed his skills and expertise over the course of nearly two decades. Beyond his illustrious career in the tea industry, Mr. Alam is a versatile expert in mineral water management and technology, serving as Director of Duncan Product Ltd. He has also demonstrated his proficiency in plywood manufacturing, furniture design, and finance, with vast experience in leasing and finance as a Director of United Finance Ltd.

Meet A K M Jahangir Alam, a dedicated and multifaceted individual with a diverse background spanning education, technical expertise, and public service. Born in Dhaka and raised in Pakistan due to his father’s service in the Pakistan Air Force, Jahangir Alam’s educational journey began at PAF Model School in Karachi. Upon repatriation to Bangladesh in 1973, he continued his education at BAF Shaheen School in Dhaka, later graduating from Adamjee Cantonment College.
Jahangir Alam’s thirst for knowledge led him to pursue diplomas in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations from Cambridge Tutorial College, England, and Technical Diploma in Refrigeration & Air-conditioning, which equipped him for a successful stint as an Air-Conditioning Technician in Saudi Arabia.
Returning to Bangladesh, Jahangir Alam embarked on a career path dedicated to technical training and education. He served as an Assistant Instructor at UCEP-Mirpur and later held significant positions at the Bureau of Manpower, Employment and Training under the Ministry of Expatriate’s Welfare and Foreign Employment.
Throughout his career, Jahangir Alam demonstrated a commitment to continuous learning, undertaking various training programs both at home and abroad. Notably, he completed courses in Pedagogy and Management, Refrigeration and Air-conditioning, and Competency-Based Training & Assessment from VTTI Bogura and TESDA Philippines.

Beginning his journey in 1981, Ahmed Jamil Ibrahim served in different capacities within Bangladesh Biman, starting as an Assistant Manager and progressing to roles such as Manager Accounts, Manager Finance (in Bangkok and London), Deputy General Manager Fund Management, and ultimately, Controller of Accounts before retiring in 2006.
